SCOPE OF SERVICES
The City is responsible for operation and maintenance of 67 single family homes in the Alameda Point Main Street Neighborhood. The Base Reuse and Economic Development Department is looking for contractors to assist with as-needed, scheduled and emergency repair work to residential roofing, including wood sheathing, fascia trim, flashing, gutters, downspouts and abatement, if needed. The objective of this RFP is to maintain the roofing systems while not changing the basic appearances of the homes. All work is to be replaced or supplemented in kind. All materials repairs and replacements shall be at least equal to existing improvements and shall match them in finish and dimension. If awarded, the contract will be for three years with options to extend for one year, up to two times. The contract amount for the first three years will not exceed $600,000 total, and will increase by up to $100,000 per one-year contract extension. Multiple contracts may be awarded and there is no guarantee for work. The selected Contractors shall furnish all tools, equipment, transportation, labor, and materials to perform all work authorized under this agreement. All work performed and equipment and parts supplied by the Contractor shall be subject to the inspection and approval of the Project Manager or designee. Failure to pass inspection on any maintenance, repair, or service item shall result in non-payment for that item until such time that the Contractor can present the item to the City in an acceptable form. All work must be performed in accordance with the Project Specifications contained in Appendix A.
